Meet our Instructors
Mr. Acklin- Owner/Grand Master
Paul Acklin began his martial arts training at the age of six. He has trained in multiple systems throughout the years due to his family being in the military. This has given him a well rounded background to the different Martial Arts styles. This has inspired him to turn his knowledge into a career of teaching martial arts to all ages. His knowledge, ability and experience led him to full time instructor position, program director, chief instructor, and manager. As an active competitor in both kata and fighting he was hired as one of five to represent the United States in a world Martial Arts tour sponsored by Microsoft. This tour included both performance and teaching in Europe. Upon return in 1994 he was determined to open his own school.
Ms. Bolin- 2nd Degree Black Belt
Ms. Bolin started martial arts at Paul Acklin's Superkicks when she was 4 years old. Her mother signed her up hoping that karate would help build her self-confidence, improve her coordination, and teach her how to defend herself. Ever since she had started at Superkicks she has loved every moment of it. The martial arts has taught her how to be a stronger person, to be more aware of her surroundings and situations, and to be a respectful person not only to others but in every aspect of her life. Superkicks has always been a safe and fun place to be and an incredible place to train. When growing up, she always looked up to the other instructors and is proud to now be called an instructor herself. It is an incredible feeling to teach others and watch them grow through the ranks and even more amazing to watch students earn their black belt. To her a black belt is something no one can take away and shows that you can do anything if you put in the time, effort, and determination. This is an accomplishment she truly values at Superkicks.
